A verbal varieté strategizing the aesthetics of discourse, Semiospectacle is a multimedia showcase of live art representing an encounter between academic lecture hall, poet’s theater, and vaudeville house. Linguistic illusionists expose the parlor trick of transparent speech. Costumes sewn from three million majuscules burst at the semes. Semiospectacle is curated by Mashinka Firunts in association with Columbia University's Modern Art and Curatorial Studies program.
